Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in database administration.
• 12+ years combined experience in DBA across SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, and GIS.
• Experience with FDOT infrastructure and FDOT applications is a plus.
• Knowledge of z/OS, COBOL, JCL, ISPF and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Daily operational DB administration tasks (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, GIS).
• Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning.
• Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation.
• Perform SQL code reviews.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

Experience

The candidate must have skill and 12 years combined experience in database administration for the following database platforms:

• SQL Server 2008R2, 2012
• Oracle 10g and above
• Experience with the FDOT integrated database infrastructure is a plus.
• Knowledge of the FDOT Financial Management applications is a plus.
• Knowledge of the FDOT integrated application environment is a plus

Primary Job Duties/ Tasks

This resource will primarily be tasked with performing Database (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, GIS) planning and operational activities including, but not limited to the following:

• Daily operational and database administration activities
• Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning
• Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation
• Perform SQL Code reviews
• Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff This resource may also be required to perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested
