Job summary

eTRANSERVICES is seeking a Data Warehousing Specialist to sustain the DOEHRS-IH Data Warehouse, supporting Health Surveillance reporting for DHA. The role focuses on reliability, performance, and accessibility of standard and ad hoc reports built on SAP Business Objects XI.

You will collaborate with DBAs, Data Architects, and developers, optimize ETL processes in Oracle environments, and assist with training end users. This position is contingent on contract award and government approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of data warehousing experience for Master-level positions; 5+ years for Senior-level positions.
• Hands-on SAP Business Objects XI administration and report-universe development experience.
• Strong SQL skills and experience troubleshooting ETL processes within an Oracle environment.
• Experience supporting enterprise data warehouses and large, complex datasets.
• Experience supporting both standard and ad hoc enterprise reporting.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose data, reporting, and performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the DOEHRS-IH Data Warehouse, including executing and monitoring data loads from the DOEHRS-IH Web Application.
• Configure, maintain, and support SAP Business Objects XI reporting universes across DOEHRS-IH Data Warehouse functional areas.
• Support DOEHRS-IH transactional and ad hoc reporting capabilities, ensuring reporting universes remain aligned with evolving data models and business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and optimize ETL processes, data loads, and reporting performance to improve query response times and overall data-processing efficiency.
• Analyze system and data warehouse performance, including database responsiveness, query performance, data quality, and storage throughput.
• Support the development of Business Objects training materials and assist with basic and intermediate report-query training for end users.
• Collaborate with Database Administrators, Data Architects, developers, and other technical team members on warehouse schema and data model changes associated with system enhancements and releases.
• Support cybersecurity and vulnerability remediation activities affecting the data warehouse environment.
• Troubleshoot data warehouse and reporting issues and work with technical teams to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.

About the Role

The DOEHRS-IH Data Warehouse contains extensive occupational exposure surveillance data across numerous functional areas and standard reports, supported through SAP Business Objects XI. As a Data Warehousing Specialist, you will help keep this analytical environment reliable, efficient, and available to support both standard and ad hoc reporting for DHA's health surveillance community.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with DISA-hosted or AWS GovCloud data warehouse environments.
• Experience with Oracle enterprise database environments.
• Experience supporting data warehouse performance optimization and troubleshooting.
• Experience developing training materials or delivering end-user reporting training.
