Job summary

Plymouth Housing in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Database Administrator to develop and maintain the PHG Data Warehouse. You will oversee data integrity, security, and ELT processes while coordinating with staff, vendors, and external programs.

The role requires strong SQL data warehousing experience, familiarity with Azure, and the ability to design database applications for program tracking and reporting. This hybrid position supports a mission-driven nonprofit committed to ending homelessness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• At least 2 years’ experience in database programming and/or administration.
• At least 2 years’ experience with data warehousing.
• Proven experience with SQL and data analytics.
• Experience in testing and verifying data accuracy.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Services, Microsoft SQL and SAP SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the PHG Data Warehouse, integrating data from various sources.
• Collaborate with software vendors, IT, and Data Analytics staff to configure and maintain databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
• Design and customize applications to track programs and activities.
• Oversee data ELT processes, including migration and data entry.
• Ensure data security, including PII and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain access control, audit records, and system security.
• Develop and manage backup and recovery plans.
• Monitor and optimize data warehouse performance.
• Diagnose and resolve data warehouse issues.
• Integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse.
• Adapt the database to meet evolving organizational needs.
• Modify the database for new programs, funding changes, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct regular audits to verify data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data warehouse configurations and policies.
• Develop user manuals, policies, procedures, and training for end-users.
• Serve as the primary contact for vendor updates and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with IT and Data Analytics staff to ensure data stability and accessibility.
• Support data-related needs of stakeholders.
