Job summary

The Florida Department of Education is seeking a SYSTEM PROJECT CONSULTANT for the Office of Assessment, within the Division of Accountability, Research and Measurement in Tallahassee, FL. The role focuses on data verification, SAS coding, and coordinating statewide assessment data analyses.

Responsibilities include developing procedures for data quality, managing timelines, and supporting report production and communications with districts. On-site, with competitive state benefits.

Qualifications

• 4 years’ experience with SAS or other programming languages.
• Knowledge of basic descriptive statistics.
• Knowledge of large-scale data verification policies and legal issues.
• Knowledge of research, statistical, and data analysis procedures including appropriate data displays.
• Knowledge of methods to establish the reliability and validity of large-scale test results.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct data verification tasks and coordinate data analyses.
• Assist in developing procedures to maintain data quality for K-12 statewide assessments.
• Create and update SAS code for data processing and reporting.
• Assist districts with score inquiry and alert systems.
