Job summary

The Office of Management & Budget (OMB) Data and Systems Unit seeks an Analyst to stand up new data policies, improve GMS workflows, and implement cross-platform data integration for a grant-funded Task Force. You will develop pipelines, govern data, and enable reporting across city, state, and federal levels.

You’ll collaborate with IT and partner agencies to optimize revenue collection and system operations while maintaining deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• Background in Data Analysis, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Must possess strong expertise in data engineering, particularly ETL optimization.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
• Experience integrating data systems and automating workflows with APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve data pipelines and workflows for OMG Task Force Systems.
• Document data models, infrastructure, and workflows with standards.
• Serve as Quickbase SME for system administration and data governance.
• Build tools to make data accessible to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Analyze data related to city budget, spending, revenue, and grant processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify needs and implement solutions.
• Provide technical consulting and strategic data solutions across teams.
• Design data quality protocols to ensure accuracy and governance.
• Develop relationships with IT, federal partners, and vendors to enhance data sharing.
