Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking engineers for the Amazon MSK team to design and build the core data plane for Kafka-based streaming services, with upstream open-source contributions and AWS-scale reliability.

You will work on large-scale systems supporting millions of transactions per second, collaborating with senior engineers to define roadmaps, implement features, optimize performance, and ensure compatibility with open-source Kafka and related frameworks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Design and build new features for the MSK service and upstream Kafka/open-source platform.
• Collaborate with engineers to define roadmaps and implement scalable solutions.
• Test and review changes to deliver an exceptional customer experience
