Job summary

Amazon MSK is seeking engineers to design and operate a large-scale streaming platform built on Apache Kafka. You will contribute to the APIs and workflows, improve performance, and help Kafka community users operate at AWS scale, with upstream open-source contributions released back to the ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of software development experience, 2+ years in design or architecture, and a CS degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and build features for the MSK/Kafka platform and related services.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver a scalable AWS service and prototype solutions.
• Contribute to upstream open-source Kafka projects and share improvements with the community.
