Verify, correct and monitor data entered into system to ensureconsistency and accuracy of information pertaining to departmentfunction. Utilize in-depth knowledge of data entry and use ofinputted information to provide instruction on how to use systemscreens.
Monitor system output to ensure integrity of information. Proofreadand verify data entered into system. Ensure accuracy of allinformation entered and presentation format; make changes asappropriate; verify entry of data in proper location to achievedesired impact on file. Input default information.
Respond to internal and external inquiries on receipt and status ofmaterial. Provide information to other units as well as studentspertaining to additional information needed, changes to the fileand/or file status and related problems. Make suggestions on areasto be improved for more efficient processing of information. Workwith representatives of other departments to correct data entryerrors.
Assist in the development and implementation of system enhancementsand maintenance. Troubleshoot problem areas; provide managementinformation on how to improve system productivity; instruct staffon new methods and procedures. Assist management in planning futuresystem development.
Provide instruction to office staff on how to access systeminformation and input data. Demonstrate system usage in one-on-oneand group situations; show users the screens on which specific datais stored; train on how to enter information to complete recordswithout errors; process requests to acquire security access forsystem users; assist users in interpreting entered information.Provide remedial training as needed and update users on systemchanges. Assist in preparing training materials.
Assist in maintenance and review of batch production jobs. Examinecomputer output to assure completion of job run; serve as back-upin scheduling batch production jobs; alert computing professionalson incomplete or missing output. Troubleshoot system accessdifficulties; notify Computing and Information Technology whenproblems are not local.
May provide functional supervision to a small number (1-3) ofpart-time student employees. Assign, monitor and review workactivities. Train in appropriate methods and procedures.

Duties are procedural in nature, butnecessitate awareness of related tasks. High school graduate or equivalent combination of education and/orexperience.
