JOBPURPOSE
The AssociateDirector, Business Services FP&M manages the financial andinternal control activities of the budget and finance operations of FacilitiesPlanning & Management Division. This role directs and controls financial anddaily business operations. In addition, this role serves as liaison withmultiple university departments such as Accounting, HR, Payroll andPurchasing. Coordinate and directrelated work of multiple functional sub-units within Business Services. Supportthe department's strategic objectives and performance improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

Manage theplant fund of $300M+, including all project accounts. Ensure proper financialand budgetary considerations relative to the Physical Plant. Partner withaccounting departments to close projects at year end. Reconcile all small capital projects. Review and approve WayneBuy invoices for 300 active plant funds.
Manage andadminister fiscal matters for Facilities Planning & Management. Develop, analyze and provide informationincluding key performance indicators, reports, data and financials. Responsiblefor detailed accounting of Facilities Planning & Management’s totalfunding of $20 million. Assist with statisticalanalysis and reporting of fiscal activities.
Completecomprehensive reporting, analysis and reconciliation of University’sutilities accounts totaling $22M
Maintain anddevelop internal control systems to assure integrity of financialtransactions to prevent errors, omissions and possible fraudulent activity. Implement effective business practices andprocesses, and ensure actions are taken to achieve and maintain necessaryperformance outcomes.
Manageday-to-day activities of direct reports, including hire, discipline, performanceappraisals for direct staff, trainingon policies and procedures as well as overseeing workflow, developing andimplementing operating efficiencies and process and procedural improvements.
Manage and administer varied operational activities asrequested by senior management of the Division including special projects,facility planning and utilization, contracting with vendors, cost/benefitstudies, service on University-wide committees or project teams.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance orbusiness administration. Master'sdegree in business related field preferred.
Experience:Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
Minimum 5 years of experience infinancial management with minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.Experience in operational planning, budget planning and implementation,enterprise-wide information systems, administrative process improvement andmanagement of decentralized work functions and projects desired. High proficiency in computerized accountingsystems (BANNER), CMMS (TMA Systems) and Procurement Systems (WayneBuy) is preferred.
