Mortenson is seeking a Data Solutions Tech Lead to define, architect, and deliver modern data platforms aligned with our strategic data vision. You will lead engineering, contribute hands-on development, and set standards across the data ecosystem, leveraging Microsoft Fabric and a Medallion Architecture approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in data engineering or architecture.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role with hands-on delivery experience.
• Microsoft Fabric (Medallion Architecture, Data Mesh) expertise.
• Fabric Data Factory & Azure Data Factory experience.
• Fivetran experience.
• Azure Data Services experience.
• MSSQL and Oracle experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering, development, and delivery of enterprise data solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric.
• Engineer scalable and reusable data pipelines, data products, semantic models, and platform capabilities.
• Design and implement solutions aligned with Medallion Architecture and Data Mesh principles.
• Establish and promote engineering standards, development practices, and implementation patterns across the Data Solutions organization.
• Serve as the lead technical advisor for capabilities and platform strategy.
• Engineer proofs-of-concept and prototype solutions to evaluate new technologies.
