Job summary

Nicolet National Bank is seeking a Data Solutions Engineer I to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and platforms supporting enterprise reporting and analytics. You will work with structured and unstructured data, collaborating with business and tech teams to ensure accurate data delivery.

The role emphasizes ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data governance, with opportunities to improve processes and leverage cloud and on-prem solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 1–3 years of experience in data engineering, software development, data analytics, or IT.
• Experience with SQL, data integration, cloud platforms, and data warehousing concepts.
• Banking or financial services industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Integrate data from multiple systems into centralized data platforms and warehouses.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows for reliability and quality.
• Develop scalable data models and architectures supporting reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality control processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve data processes through automation and standardization.
• Support cloud-based and on-premises data environments with secure data movement.
• Document data flows and solutions for maintainability.
• Participate in data governance, including lineage and metadata management.
