Job summary

Washington Trust Bank is seeking a Data Solutions Analyst to turn business needs into practical data solutions. You will work across business and technology teams to clarify problems, define outcomes, identify data requirements, evaluate options, and prepare for delivery.

The role requires strong business analysis, facilitation, data, and solution-planning skills. Hands-on technical work is supporting rather than the primary focus.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous, complex problems.
• Ability to facilitate decisions among stakeholders with different priorities and technical knowledge.
• Working knowledge of data architecture, integration, analytics, data modelling, governance, and solution lifecycle practices.
• Ability to connect strategic direction to phased roadmaps and executable work.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery with business and technology stakeholders to define business problems, outcomes, users, data needs, and success measures.
• Translate business needs into capabilities, phased roadmaps, and actionable work for engineering, analytics, and development teams.
• Communicate technical options, dependencies, and trade-offs in terms business stakeholders understand.
• Partner with technical specialists to evaluate solution approaches and determine when a prototype or reusable data product is needed.
• Coordinate dependencies and decisions across stakeholders, Data Engineering, Analytics, Software Development, and Governance teams.
• Create and maintain durable artifacts like roadmaps, requirements, data flows, and acceptance criteria.
