Job summary

FCCI in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Data Solution Engineer to design, develop, test, and support enterprise data products, data pipelines, and analytics solutions using Databricks and cloud-native technologies. You will work within an Agile delivery team to build scalable, governed data solutions for reporting, analytics, and AI/ML workloads.

The role collaborates with architects, product owners, data engineers, and platform teams; you will be hands-on with data pipelines, models, and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Four+ years of experience developing and supporting data engineering, analytics, or cloud-based data solutions.
• Three+ years building and maintaining data pipelines and transformations using Databricks, Spark, or similar platforms.
• Strong experience with Python, SQL, and data engineering best practices.
• Experience with cloud-native data services, storage, and distributed processing.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, governance, and data quality.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise data products, data pipelines, and data integration using Databricks and cloud-native technologies.
• Build and maintain Bronze, Silver, and Gold data assets within a lakehouse architecture using Delta Lake, PySpark, Unity Catalog, and serverless compute.
• Develop scalable data transformations, validation, and enrichment processes for analytics, reporting, operational, and AI/ML workloads.
• Implement data quality, monitoring, and observability controls to ensure trusted data products.
• Develop data models, business logic, and reusable engineering components per architectural standards.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, testing, and CI/CD to improve software quality and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline, platform, and performance issues; identify optimization opportunities.
• Implement data governance, security, and access controls using Unity Catalog and platform-native capabilities.
• Contribute to deployment, testing, monitoring, and operational support automation.
• Document data solutions, designs, procedures, and standards to improve knowledge sharing.
