Job summary

FCCI Services Inc. is seeking a Data Solution Engineer to design, develop, test, and support enterprise data products and pipelines using Databricks and cloud-native tech.

You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and platform teams to deliver scalable lakehouse solutions and governance across analytics, reporting, and AI/ML workloads. You will be hands-on with data models, transformations, and platform integrations, contributing to quality, performance, and automation improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; other experience substitutions allowed.
• 4+ years in data engineering, analytics, or cloud-based data solutions.
• 3+ years building data pipelines and transformations with Databricks, Spark, or similar.
• Strong Python, SQL, and data engineering best practices.
• Experience with cloud-native data services and distributed processing.
• Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing, governance, and quality concepts.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support data products and pipelines using Databricks and cloud-native tech.
• Build Bronze/Silver/Gold data assets within a lakehouse using Delta Lake, PySpark, Unity Catalog.
• Develop scalable data transformations for analytics, reporting, and AI/ML workloads.
• Implement data quality, monitoring, and observability for trusted data products.
• Maintain data models and reusable engineering components per standards.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineers to deliver solutions.
• Participate in code/design reviews, tests, and CI/CD to improve quality.
• Troubleshoot pipelines, platforms, and performance; seek optimization opportunities.
• Support data governance, security, and access controls using Unity Catalog.
• Automate deployment, testing, monitoring, and operations processes.
• Document data solutions, designs, procedures, and standards for knowledge sharing.
• Continuously grow expertise in data engineering and cloud platforms.
