Job summary

WSFS Bank seeks a Data Security Analyst to join the incident response team, protecting data confidentiality, integrity and availability and enforcing the Information Security Program. You will identify, report and resolve security violations and help enforce FFIEC-aligned policies.

A bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Cybersecurity or related field is required, with 2+ years in IT focusing on data security. Security+ / CEH / CISSP are preferred; banking experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Information technology role with a focus on Data Security.
• Prior banking or financial services industry experience is preferred.
• Relevant certifications, such as Security+, CEH, CISSP are preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of security industry best practices, and current technologies.
• Demonstrated experience with audit readiness.
• Knowledge of Data Security (Structured and Unstructured).
• Basic networking knowledge of Windows Enterprise.
• Understanding of Windows, Files and Directories, Data Loss, and importance of Data Security.
• Understanding of Data Classification & Protection.
• Understanding of current threat attack vectors including Malware, Data Loss, Phishing, and Social Engineering.
• Ability to recommend, implement and assess the effectiveness of countermeasures.
• Ability to interact with various levels of associates in Information Technology, Risk, and Audit.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a comprehensive, practical program of security coverage for the Bank.
• Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices that protect information assets from unauthorized disclosure and alteration, while meeting functional needs.
• Identify and assess external and internal risks through technology risk assessments.
• Support Internal Audit requests and OCC during IT examinations.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in availability and security of information.
• Administer, maintain and report on enterprise phishing and cybersecurity awareness training platform.
• Assess and enforce technology compliance policies for all enterprise systems.
• Investigate incidents pertaining to data loss or exposure of data.
• Perform access control reviews of information and information systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
