Job summary

First National Bankof America is seeking a Data Security Specialist to strengthen its data governance and DLP program within Information Security. You will participate in Data Governance Council meetings, align standards, and collaborate on Microsoft Purview governance and policy development.

The role requires 2+ years in data governance or risk, knowledge of OCC/FFIEC/GLBA/NACHA, and the ability to maintain audit-ready documentation while producing reports and dashboards for leadership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data governance, risk, compliance, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of OCC, FFIEC, GLBA, and NACHA requirements as they apply to data governance
• Working understanding of data privacy, access management, and security controls
• Experience identifying CDEs and KDEs and managing data lineage
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage documentation and evidence across multiple concurrent projects

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Data Governance Council meetings, prepare agenda and follow-ups.
• Develop standards, procedures, and a records retention framework aligned with OCC, FFIEC, GLBA, and NACHA requirements.
• Keep governance documentation current, organized, and audit-ready across each phase of the program buildout.
• Prepare governance reports, scorecards, and dashboards for leadership.
• Create investigations, escalations, remediation, and communications into DLP and insider risk alerts and incidents; analyze user activity involving sensitive data, tune DLP policies, and help mature DLP processes and procedures.
