Job summary

First National Bankof America is seeking a Data Security Specialist to improve the bank's data governance and data loss prevention program. This role sits within Information Security and partners with Microsoft 365 administrators on Microsoft Purview, providing governance direction and DLP analysis.

The successful candidate will help build standards, keep governance documentation audit-ready, and prepare reports and dashboards for leadership, while monitoring user activity and refining DLP

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data governance, risk, compliance, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of OCC, FFIEC, GLBA, and NACHA requirements as they apply to data governance.
• Understanding of data privacy, access management, and security controls.
• Experience identifying CDEs and KDEs and managing data lineage.
• Highly organized with ability to manage documentation across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Attend Data Governance Council meetings, prepare agenda and follow-ups.
• Develop standards, procedures, and a records retention framework aligned to OCC/FFIEC/GLBA/NACHA.
• Keep governance documentation current, organized, and audit-ready.
• Prepare governance reports, scorecards, and dashboards for leadership.
• Create investigations, escalations, remediation, and communications into DLP and insider risk alerts and incidents; analyze user activity involving sensitive data; tune DLP policies.
