Job summary

Maymont Homes is seeking a Data Scientist to turn business questions into analytical solutions using Python, SQL, and Excel. You will own end-to-end modeling lifecycle, from problem definition to deployment, while collaborating with Asset Management and Operations teams.

The ideal candidate combines strong data science and statistical analysis with practical production experience, familiar with AWS and modern AI platforms. This role is fully onsite in Charleston, SC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 3+ years of data science or analytics experience.
• Strong Python, SQL, and Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to present to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with Git and Agile development.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business teams to handle ad hoc data requests and support day-to-day questions.
• Build predictive models in Python to address defined business problems.
• Help deploy models into production and monitor their performance.
• Summarize findings into clear takeaways for business partners.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure scalable, trusted datasets.
