Job summary

Lawelawe Technology Services is seeking an expert Data Scientist to transform complex data into actionable insights for the NSF Office of Inspector General. You will work independently in a federal context, collaborating with investigators, auditors, analysts, and leadership to solve problems through analytics, modeling, visualization, and automation.

You will leverage Python and SQL, work with structured and unstructured data, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or related discipline.
• 4+ years of professional data science, analytics, or modeling experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data sources.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analytics, statistical and non-statistical modeling and data-management activities.
• Gather and store data, then cleanse, normalize, validate and integrate sources.
• Design, develop, and maintain analytical models, scripts, and automated workflows.
• Design experiments and scalable models using ML and AI methodologies.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI or Tableau.
• Collaborate with investigators, auditors, analysts, and leadership to define requirements.
