Superhuman is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for the Mail team to shape feature strategy, run experiments, and own core metrics. The role sits within a data‑driven, AI‑native product environment with a tight‑knit culture and cross‑functional collaboration with Data Engineering, Finance, RevOps, and UX Market Research.

You’ll partner with product managers, engineers, and ML engineers, using Statsig for experiments, and contribute to growth by focusing on activation, retention, and expansion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data science experience with measurable impact.
• Expertise in experimentation and causal inference.
• Fluent in Python and SQL.
• Strong statistics and machine learning skills.
• Able to translate business questions into experiments and metrics.
• Influences cross-functional partners and turns insight into action.
• Self-starting, creative problem-solver who thrives with ambiguity.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the embedded data science partner for the Mail core product team, shaping feature strategy and roadmap decisions.
• Define and own metrics for Mail activation, engagement, retention, and leading indicators.
• Design and run experiments across the Mail lifecycle and build measurement frameworks.
• Shape measurement for Mail's AI features and define quality frameworks and metrics.
• Identify activation sequences and features that drive deep engagement and stickiness.
• Quantify levers that turn users into team expansions and surface signals predicting churn.
• Craft data-driven product moments and onboarding flows that feel natural.
• Communicate findings clearly to PMs, engineers, and executives, raising the data bar.
