Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Data Scientist II to support Radar Sensor Systems (RSS) in Plano, TX. You will work across functional areas to apply data science and software engineering methods for production-scale internal use and external research, collaborating with the Applied AI team to develop analytic products for agile delivery.

This onsite role requires collaboration across manufacturing, engineering, business development, and supply chain functions, with responsibilities including visualizations,

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Python for ML/analysis integration beyond academic projects.
• SQL development and database management experience.
• Familiarity with software development practices including documentation, testing, version control, and MLOps.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Secret clearance is required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data visualizations to effectively communicate insights.
• Perform data analysis on large, complex datasets and generate actionable reports.
• Work with various databases for data input, reporting, and data management.
• Apply ML algorithms for data cleaning, exploration, and visualization.
• Implement data reduction, feature selection, and feature engineering for decision support.
• Automate data processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to communicate findings and address challenges.
• Conduct analysis across the system lifecycle from concept to maintenance.
• Interface with stakeholders to support data-driven strategies.
