Job summary

RTX in Plano, TX is seeking a Data Scientist to support Radar Sensor Systems. You will work across departments to apply data science and software methods for production-scale use, collaborating with the Applied AI team to develop analytics across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain. This is an onsite role in Plano, TX.

You will design visualizations, analyze large datasets, and apply ML algorithms while interfacing with stakeholders to drive data-driven strategies and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python for integrating ML applications beyond academia.
• Experience with SQL and databases for data input and reporting.
• Experience with software development including documentation, testing, version control, and MLOps.
• Active and transferable DoD Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data visualizations to communicate insights using PowerBI/Tableau or similar tools.
• Perform data analysis on large, complex data sets and generate actionable reports.
• Utilize databases for data input, reporting, and management.
• Apply machine learning algorithms for data cleaning, exploration, and visualization.
• Implement feature engineering and data reduction to support evidence-based decisions.
• Automate data processing to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to communicate findings and address challenges.
• Conduct analysis across the full system lifecycle from concept to maintenance.
• Interface with stakeholders to support data-driven strategies.
