DataJobs is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to own end-to-end ML operations and optimization modeling that influence North America middle miles planning for large-scale logistics.

You will design and implement complex ML and optimization solutions, lead from framing to deployment and monitoring, and collaborate with data engineering to productionize models, with strong emphasis on forecasting and time-series analysis.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data scientist experience.
• 3+ years experience with SQL, Python, or statistical software (R, SAS, Matlab).
• 3+ years experience applying ML/statistical modeling analysis tools and techniques.
• Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Proficiency in time-series forecasting, regression, tree-based methods, and deep learning.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ML and optimization solutions including forecasting, MIP/LP, simulation, and deep learning.
• Lead scalable models from problem framing through deployment and monitoring.
• Create modeling patterns for forecasting and optimization.
• Build model validation, backtesting, and monitoring pipelines; reduce leakage and bias.
• Define model performance metrics linked to business outcomes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Software to productionize models and CI/CD.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.
