Job summary

Amazon's North American Operations is seeking a Data Scientist to drive the development of machine learning, optimization, and causal inference models, deeply integrating with business stakeholders and leveraging generative AI to build for our customers.

You will own projects within Amazon Operations, engaging with Finance and partner teams, and translate problems into designs while communicating complex analyses clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical software experience.
• 2+ years of data/research scientist, statistician or quantitative analyst experience in an internet-based company with big data.
• Master's degree in STEM or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Interfacing with stakeholders to understand business problems and translate into design documents.
• Build ML, optimization, and causal inference models for business challenges.
• Sourcing, cleaning, and analyzing large data sets to provide insights at scale.
• Leverage AI-based solutions to drive development and provide insights into model outcomes.
