Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Data Scientist II to support Digital Marketing and Commercial Analytics through advanced modeling and customer insights. The role moves beyond dashboards to build predictive models and translate data into actionable business strategies.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on ML experience in Life Sciences or regulated industries, with strong skills in Python/SQL/R, data visualization, and CRM tools. This is a fully remote contract position based in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a quantitative field is required.
• 3+ years of data science, predictive analytics, or related work experience.
• Experience building predictive models and applying statistical methods.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral analytics, forecasting, ML, and statistical inference.
• Experience with large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, or SAS and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models to identify customer behaviors, engagement patterns, buying propensities, and market opportunities.
• Build customer segmentation and target personas using diverse data sources.
• Apply statistical modeling and ML techniques to support forecasting and planning.
• Analyze marketing and sales performance across the customer lifecycle.
• Design experiments, A/B tests, and observational analyses to measure campaign impact.
• Identify trends and growth opportunities across segments, products, campaigns, and geographies.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial Ops, Sales, and Digital teams to translate findings into actions.
• Create visualizations and executive-level reports to communicate insights.
• Integrate internal and external data sources to improve targeting and market intelligence.
• Develop and maintain scalable analytical models with high data quality.
