Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Data Scientist II in Decision Science to translate data into strategic insights. You will apply advanced analytics, build ML models, and run experiments to improve platform engagement, features, and games.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, write SQL to pull data, and present findings to stakeholders. Strong communication and knowledge of causal inference and Gen AI are highly valued.

Qualifications

• MBA/BA not required if experience demonstrates data science work
• Proven experience applying ML methods in a commercial setting
• Experience with large datasets and SQL querying
• Strong communication and storytelling of complex analyses
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised ML techniques
• Knowledge of online experimentation and causal inference methods
• Familiarity with Gen AI tools is a plus

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced statistical and ML techniques to analyse large datasets and extract actionable insights
• Develop robust predictive models and identify causal relationships
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business problems and design experiments
• Independently extract and integrate data from multiple data systems, writing complex SQL queries
• Support delivery of results and present findings to stakeholders
• Stay up to date on latest data science methods and share knowledge with the team
