Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Data Scientist II to advance the POTFF program by applying advanced analytics and research methods to improve the wellbeing of SOF service members and families. You will work closely with product, engineering, and design teams to design experiments, build models, and translate complex data into actionable insights.

The role requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance, with responsibilities across data collection, modeling, and dashboard development to support

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in quantitative science, social science, or a related field.
• Three or more years of research experience in academic, social services, government, healthcare, or laboratory settings.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).
• Advanced proficiency with SPSS, SAS, Python, and R Shiny.
• Demonstrated research proficiency with publications.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently for clear communication.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Position pending contract award.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on data analysis and modeling with large data sets.
• Apply data mining, NLP, and ML to improve relevance and personalization.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to design experiments and MVPs.
• Identify data sources, access and clean data for modeling.
• Create and refine features from data and run A/B tests.
• Present findings to peers and leaders with clear communication.
