About The Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team, responsible for advanced and predictive data analytics in healthcare. In this role, you will work with big data and data science technologies to drive healthcare innovation and improve outcomes. You will perform complex analyses using data science techniques on both structured and unstructured datasets, develop algorithms, and design models to predict member outcomes. This position will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to design tools and processes that support Centene’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop data models to predict member outcomes or future impacts of key decisions.
• Construct analysis tools to extract, analyze, and store data in a format that meets business needs.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis on complex data sources and build datasets that support Centene’s objectives.
• Design and evaluate experiments to monitor metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop statistical and mathematical models to identify patterns and relevant content.
• Present and communicate analysis results and findings.
• Assist in the design of automated analytics processes to ensure scalability and durability.
• Validate and measure the outcomes of health management programs, using tools like SAS, R, and others.
• Manage multiple projects and provide guidance to junior data analysts.
  
  

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Informatics, Econometrics, Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, data science, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
• Experience with data mining, predictive modeling, statistical modeling, large-scale data acquisition, and analysis of structured and unstructured data.
• Knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle, SAP, DB2, Teradata, MS SQL Server, SAP HANA, and MySQL.
  
  

Compensation And Benefits

• Pay Range: $86,000.00 - $154,700.00 per year.
• Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401K, stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and flexible work schedules (remote, hybrid, or office).
