Job summary

SentiLink is hiring a Data Scientist to build core products—models that identify fraudsters and expand the financial risk suite. You will work as an experienced researcher with end-to-end ownership, collaborating across teams to research new fraud types and drive product development.

Production-ready code and strong domain knowledge are essential. The role emphasizes impact, fast-moving development, and deep domain expertise to maintain a competitive edge in identity verification and risk

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant work experience and a PhD or 4+ years and a Master's.
• Proven track record of solving complex/high profile business problems with DS/ML solutions.
• Experience in communicating outcomes/progress to senior management/stakeholders.
• Strong end-to-end DS development: planning, metrics, buy-in, solution development, production/deck/strategy doc.
• Strong practical ML/Stats knowledge; familiarity with SOTA ML is a plus.
• Willingness to learn deep domain expertise for product-focused work.
• Experience writing production code and tests.
• Detail oriented and reliable for business-critical decisions.
• Experience working at a startup.
• Bonus for familiarity with identity solutions/fintech.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside in the U.S.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with varied, high-impact, open-ended problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fraud detection models across the full model development lifecycle.
• Build modeling foundations for SentiLink’s Fraud and Financial Risk products.
• Research new types of fraud and develop related products.
• Iterate with new data sources and inventive feature engineering.
• Write production-ready code for real-time decision making by partners.
• Design, perform, and present analyses for data acquisition, product development, and risk priorities.
• Collaborate with engineering, risk operations, and data acquisitions to access data and ensure quality data.
