Job summary

SentiLink in the United States is seeking an Applied ML Scientist to build models that identify fraud and advance risk products. This role is designed for new PhD graduates or early-career researchers applying machine learning to real-world fraud detection.

You'll build and ship ML models in production, gaining hands-on experience across the full lifecycle. You will work with teams across the company to develop new products and support data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field or equivalent experience
• Strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, or applied data science
• Experience with Python and common data science tools
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and build data-driven solutions
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical ideas clearly
• Interest in fraud, identity, and financial risk systems
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and reside in the United States

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fraud detection models through full model development lifecycle
• Build modeling to drive Fraud and Financial Risk products
• Research new types of fraud and develop SentiLink products around identity verification
• Iterate with new data sources and feature engineering
• Write production-ready code for real-time decision making
• Design and present analyses to inform data acquisition and product priorities
• Collaborate with engineering, risk operations, and data teams to access data
