Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Data Scientist to drive fleet planning for Global Fleet and Products. The role focuses on building models and optimization to allocate vehicles across programs, partnering with cross-functional teams, and presenting insights to senior leadership.

The candidate will develop and refine linear programs, ML models, and statistical analyses to support dynamic fleet decisions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data scientist experience.
• 3+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience.
• 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance experience.
• 1+ years of guiding and coaching a group of researchers experience.
• 1+ years of working with or evaluating AI systems experience.
• 1+ years of creating or contributing to mathematical textbooks, research papers, or educational content experience.
• Master's degree in STEM or experience working in STEM

Responsibilities

• Build models and automation for planners for generating vehicle allocation plans
• Partner with program teams to test and measure success of implemented model
• Lead reviews with senior leadership, deep dive model outputs and explain implications of model recommendations.
