Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Scientist for the Global Fleet and Products (GFP) Fleet Planning team in Arlington, VA. You will build models and automation to optimize vehicle allocation, partnering with program teams to test results and guide decisions.

You will lead reviews with senior leadership, explain model implications, and apply ML methods to complex routing and capacity challenges. This role is on-site in Arlington with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting (e.g. Python) experience.
• Advanced statistics or ML knowledge to support fleet planning decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build models and automation for planners for generating vehicle allocation plans.
• Partner with program teams to test and measure success of implemented model.
• Lead reviews with senior leadership, deep dive model outputs and explain implications.
