Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a data science consultant to help DHS projects maximize data value through analytics, automation, and BI. You will work across data querying, wrangling, engineering, visualization, and dashboarding to deliver actionable intelligence.

You will collect and transform large datasets with Python, R, and SQL; build Power BI dashboards; identify patterns to support investigations and decision-making; and communicate results in briefs and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or data engineering.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DHS Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Assess and recommend opportunities to incorporate advanced analysis and automation into current operations.
• Collect, clean, transform, and analyze large datasets using Python, R, and SQL.
• Design and develop data visualization and dashboard solutions to provide analytics insights using Power BI.
• Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies to support investigative efforts and operational decision-making.
• Analyzing existing processes and identifying opportunities for automation and optimization.
• Summarizing and presenting results and recommendations through written reports and briefings.
• Balance competing priorities including quick-turn and ad hoc requests.
