Job summary

Guidehouse in Arlington, VA is seeking a Data Scientist for National Security to support DHS missions. You will work across data querying, wrangling, engineering, visualization, and BI to deliver actionable intelligence.

The role requires hands-on analytics, strong communication, and ability to obtain a Public Trust. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of data analytics experience, proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization, with familiarity in GIS and cloud tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, business analytics or data engineering
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DHS Public Trust
• Experience with data collection, cleaning, transforming, and analyzing large datasets
• Experience designing data visualizations and dashboards for analytics insights

Responsibilities

• Assess and recommend opportunities to incorporate advanced analysis and automation into current operations
• Collect, clean, transform, and analyze large datasets using Python, R, and SQL
• Design and develop data visualization and dashboard solutions (Power BI or similar)
• Identify patterns and anomalies to support investigative decisions
• Summarize results and present findings in reports and briefings
• Balance competing priorities and respond to ad hoc requests
