Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Global Data Insight & Analytics (GDIA) team in a hybrid role. You will lead analytic solutions across enterprise functions, build ML models, and design agentic AI workflows using RAG pipelines and LLM integrations.

You will collaborate with Product, Software, and Data teams to deliver end-to-end analytic solutions, ensure data quality, and communicate insights to executives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or relevant degree.
• 5+ years of experience in statistical or mathematical modeling, Machine Learning, Data Science or AI Engineering.
• 3+ years' experience with cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, Azure, AWS).
• 1+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying Agentic AI solutions, incl. RAG pipelines and LLM/SLM integrations.
• 1+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Large scale data manipulation and mining/pattern recognition experience.
• Developed and implemented Machine Learning models.
• Orchestration mastery with modern AI orchestration frameworks and LLM APIs.
• Fine-tuning and model distillation for domain adaptation and internal vocabularies.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• As a Data Scientist, join the Product Team and deliver analytic solutions across the lifecycle.
• Work across full stack technologies to enable high-priority analytics work.
• Translate business problems into data-driven solutions and actions.
• Develop analytic and statistical models and refine them iteratively.
• Communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences including executives.
• Design multi-step reasoning frameworks and agentic loops using modern tools.
• Architect advanced RAG structures for high-fidelity business context.
• Evaluate SLM strategies and select domain-specific models.
• Establish rigorous testing and validation benchmarks; minimize hallucinations.
• Optimize token efficiency and context windowing for agents.
