Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a data scientist to join the Data Science Consulting team. You will apply technical expertise with Python, SQL, LLMs, Tableau, and Databricks to understand client needs and design tailored data solutions for federal clients.

The role involves automating processes with Power Automate, communicating findings to leadership, and engaging directly with clients to gather requirements and drive initiatives forward. Remote, hybrid, or on-site work in the Washington D.C.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET or higher security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in data science, data engineering, or data analytics.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data wrangling and querying.
• Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Experience utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering.
• Experience developing and deploying AI/ML models using Python.
• Experience with cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
• Ability to support remote, hybrid, or on-site projects in the Washington D.C. metro area.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client needs and design data science solutions.
• Develop data products using Python, SQL, LLMs, Tableau, and Databricks.
• Automate workflows with Power Automate where appropriate.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership.
• Engage with clients to gather requirements and tailor solutions to mission objectives.
• Support internal business development activities including responses to RFxs and white papers.
• Perform analytics and data engineering in Azure or AWS.
