Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Data Scientist to understand client needs and design data-driven solutions for Federal clients in the DC area. You will leverage Python, SQL, LLMs, Tableau, and Databricks to build products, automate processes, and translate findings for leadership.

The role requires a security clearance, a technical degree, and 2+ years of data-focused experience. Remote, hybrid, or on-site work in the DC metro area is supported.

Qualifications

• Active SECURITY clearance (SECRET or higher).
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• 2+ years in data science, data engineering, or data analytics.
• Proficiency with Python for data wrangling and analysis.
• Experience querying and wrangling data with SQL.
• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience using Large Language Models and prompt engineering.
• Experience developing AI/ML models in Python.
• Experience with cloud analytics (Azure or AWS).
• Willingness to support remote, hybrid, or on-site projects in the DC metro area.

Responsibilities

• Understand client needs and design data solutions for Federal clients.
• Use Python, SQL, LLMs, Tableau, and Databricks to build products and solutions.
• Automate processes with Power Automate where appropriate.
• Translate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
• Engage with clients to gather requirements and drive initiatives forward.
• Support RFP/RFQ/RFI responses and white papers for business development.
