Data Scientist

Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for overall data science and data characterization technologies, reporting to the on-site program manager.
2. Assess technology development, evaluate operational usefulness, and demonstrate technology capabilities through testing and evaluation.
3. Document results in writing and communicate verbally and through multimedia to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of defense intelligence all-source analysis, operations research/systems engineering, analysis of intelligence community databases and tools, non-defense intelligence analysis, structured analytic techniques, and text exploitation and analytics.
• Expertise in advanced tools such as R software (with modules for statistics, modeling, visualization), Text Analytics (IN-SPIRE, Jigsaw, NetOwl, Gate), and Mathematical Modeling (MATLAB).
• Proficiency with day-to-day data analysis tools like Excel, Tableau, and document development tools such as Word, MS Publisher.
• Understanding and experience with visual and geospatial analysis tools like OpenGeo, ArcGIS, GeoTime, Clavin, Vortek (Starlight), Gephi, Word cloud tools, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• 5-10 years of experience or an advanced degree (MS/Ph.D.).
• At least three years of experience in the intelligence community.
• TS/SCI clearance with FSP.
