Job summary

Sevita is seeking a Data Scientist Manager in Minneapolis to lead a hands-on team developing ML solutions that turn enterprise data into actionable predictions. You will mentor an emerging AI/ML group, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive end-to-end model development and deployment using Snowflake, Azure ML, and dbt.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Master’s degree preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
• 5 years in applied data science or machine learning experience, including deployment of models into production
• Strong Python and SQL skills and experience with common statistical and machine learning libraries.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and production ML workflows.

Responsibilities

• Translate business opportunities into ML use cases with defined success measures and delivery priorities.
• Develop forecasting, classification, anomaly detection, and optimization solutions for enterprise use cases.
• Identify and validate indicators and drivers to improve predictions.
• Perform exploratory analysis, feature engineering, and data suitability assessments in collaboration with data engineers and SMEs.
• Establish baseline models and evaluate alternatives using statistical methods and business impact measures.
• Deploy and maintain models using Snowflake and Azure capabilities with production integration.
