Qualifications

• Significant experience leading data science, ML, AI, NLP, IR, or related teams.
• Proven success building and coaching high-performing teams in complex environments.
• Technical expertise across ML, generative AI, LLMs, retrieval, experimentation, and evaluation.
• Experience delivering AI-powered products from concept to production with impact.
• Understanding of modern AI approaches including LLMs, RAG, semantic search, embeddings and knowledge systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing teams of data scientists, ML engineers, researchers, and contributors.
• Define and execute data science strategies that advance discovery, research intelligence, and knowledge-access products.
• Drive AI capabilities across search, retrieval, NLP, and knowledge systems.
• Translate complex challenges into scalable data science solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Establish high standards for experimentation, model quality, and responsible AI practices.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of scientific rigor and collaboration.
• Guide adoption of emerging AI technologies including LLMs and knowledge-based systems.
• Influence senior stakeholders and contribute to long-term AI and product strategy.
