MSD’s Future Talent Program in the Research and Development Division offers internships up to 12 weeks, featuring projects in data science and drug discovery. The Quantitative Biosciences team seeks a student to apply statistical analyses and build data pipelines while collaborating with senior scientists.

The role emphasizes teamwork, rigorous scientific exploration, and enthusiasm for learning new techniques to impact drug discovery.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a full-time Data Science/CS or related Bioscience degree.
Have completed ≥2 years toward BS/BA or ≥1 year toward MS/PhD by internship start.
Available to work full-time for 10–12 weeks starting May/June 2027.

Responsabilités

Perform statistical analyses of data from basic drug research.
Develop data pipelines to move, integrate and analyze diverse biological data.
Develop and apply computational methods and ML models to foundational data sets for drug discovery.
Wrangle and analyze unstructured and structured data for translational strategies.
Engineered data pipelines between reporting environments and core databases with automated data connectors.
Communicate data progress in internal meetings and present findings at training completion.
Collaborate with scientists, valuing open communication and rigorous exploration.
