Job summary

Citizens Bank is seeking a Data Science Undergraduate Intern to join our 10-week summer program. You will work half the time with a host data science team on statistical modeling, ML, NLP, CV and analytics projects, and half with cross‑functional teams on real-world initiatives.

Assignments focus on customer experience, spend optimization, market opportunities, business insights, model development and dashboarding. The role supports a hybrid work arrangement across US locations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, mathematics, economics, analytics, CS or related field.
• GPA 3.0 or higher expected; strong coursework in statistics or ML is preferred.
• Experience with raw and prepared datasets, including cleaning and processing data.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Pandas; familiarity with notebooks (Jupyter).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners to understand project goals and data sources.
• Prepare data, perform EDA, and work with temporal data structures.
