Citizens Bank is offering a Data Science Graduate Internship for a 10-week summer program. Interns split time between partnering with host teams and working on real-world cross-functional projects.

Hybrid work is expected with locations in Columbus, OH, Johnston, RI, or Boston, MA. Starting pay is $45 per hour, with opportunities to learn advanced analytics, ML, NLP, and dashboarding across teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master’s or PhD) in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Expected graduation date Dec 2027–Spring 2028 for Master’s or PhD enrollment.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Experience with raw and cleaned datasets and data processing.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, Pandas, Jupyter Notebooks and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Supports diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners to understand project goals and data sources.
• Participate in data preparation, EDA, data transformation, and handling temporal data.
• Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends and insights.
• Apply statistical methods and model development to business objectives.
• Conduct hands-on analysis using text mining and quantitative techniques.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback to refine models and approaches.
