The Iowa Department of Education seeks a Public Service Manager 1 to lead the Data, Reporting, and Program Support Section. The Public Service Manager 1 overseeing the Data, Reporting and Program Support Section will be an integral member of the Bureau of Nutrition and Health Services team.
Your Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to Bureau staff assigned to the Data, Reporting and Program Support Section.
Provide oversight of programs that support Child Nutrition Programs including procurement, USDA Foods, data system operations, Farm to Child Nutrition Programs.
Complete federal reporting. Ensure accurate data is collected and reported.
Ensure secure data collection, transfer and storage of program data in the bureau.
Interpret, monitor, and enforce federal and state law, complex regulations, and policies to oversee compliance.
Oversee the development of internal Standard Operating Procedures and Policies for enhanced coordination and consistency among internal bureau staff in the implementation of USDA and Iowa rules and regulations.
Provide general oversight of section staff members assigned to ensuring the bureau data system is operating effectively, testing and implementing enhancements and communicating with the data system vendor. Oversee contracts and payments.

Hours:8:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M., Monday – Friday; some nights and weekends, occasional in-state and out-of-state travel

Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:1) Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university and experience equal to four years of full-time work in program administration, development, management, or operations.
