Role Overview
The Data & Reporting Analyst Sr. drives data-driven decision-making through advanced reporting, analysis, and trend identification. This role focuses on collecting, interpreting, and presenting data insights to support business objectives. The Data & Reporting Analyst Sr generates standard and ad hoc reports and analyses to support statutory requirements, quality trends, and outcomes overviews, and management initiatives. Ensures the maximum level of accuracy and validity of data obtained from various internal and external data sources (e.g., data warehouses) through research and validation, and conveys and delivers data insights effectively, tailoring the presentation to the needs of the intended audience.
Responsibilities
Data Collection and Analysis
•Collaborate with customers at all levels of the organization to define and achieve objectives
•Develop plan-level tools and resources for managing workflows. Extract and summarize data from a variety of internal and external data sources (e.g., data warehouses) for reporting deliverables, as well as to assist in measurement and decision support
•Research, test, and validate data results for accuracy
•Analyze data and reporting aberrations and provide explanations for variances and changes
•Identify emerging cost, utilization, demographics, and other trends and report potential impacts
•Research and provide granular-level root cause analysis
Data Interpretation and Product Delivery
•Complete statistical analysis of data to assist with identifying interventions and monitor the impact of quality initiatives
•Format results into visually effective tools such as graphs, charts, etc. as necessary
•Leverage tools such as Tableau to share data in easily consumable formats
•Provide oversight of Associates providing support in common projects or research
•Incorporate HEDIS and State Specific reporting specifications to support Behavioral health initiatives, NCQA requirements and quality improvement activities
Work Arrangement
•Remote = Associate can work remotely anywhere in the United States
Experience/Education
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, IS or related field strongly preferred OR equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
•7 to 10 years of experience in business and data analysis, healthcare or managed care preferred
Skills & Abilities
•Strong PC skills and technical background in Databricks and SQL Server is required.
•Experience effectively communicating verbally and in writing to various levels of management and stakeholders
•Experience leading, and providing a vision/direction when it comes to reporting and data analysis is strongly preferred
