Job summary

The Living Planet Aquarium is seeking a Business Data & Reporting Specialist to organize and validate data, and independently develop reliable reports for leaders. You will work with Finance, Development, and other departments to compile information from Salesforce, Galaxy, and accounting software, ensuring donor and customer records are accurate.

Reporting to the Controller, you will design dashboards, run recurring reports, and coordinate data quality across systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education and experience accepted.
• 1–3 years of experience in data reporting and reconciliation.
• Experience in a nonprofit, attraction, hospitality, or mission-driven org is desirable.
• Advanced Excel, including lookups, pivots, validation, and charts.
• SQL querying, joining, filtering, aggregating, and validating data.
• Power BI or similar BI tool experience with dashboards and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain BI dashboards and recurring reports.
• Act as data liaison to department leaders for reporting needs.
• Prepare schedules and supporting workbooks for monthly financials.
• Compare source systems and document data differences for reconciling.
• Provide validated datasets for Board materials, budgets, and audits.
• Enter and maintain donor/customer records and coordinate data quality.
