Job summary

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper, UT seeks a Business Data & Reporting Specialist to organize, validate, and connect multiple data sources, and independently develop reliable reports for leaders. You’ll work with Salesforce, Galaxy, and ERP/CRM systems to produce dashboards, donor records, and financial metrics.

Reporting to the Controller, you’ll build ongoing BI solutions, maintain data quality, and support monthly close and grant reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in data analytics, information systems, CS, business, finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• 1–3 years experience in data reporting and reconciliation with BI reports or dashboards.
• Non-profit, attractions, hospitality, retail, or mission-driven experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, build, and maintain BI dashboards and recurring reports using Power BI or LLPA‑approved tools; develop data models, calculations, and refresh processes.
• Serve as data liaison to department leaders to translate needs into financial, sales, attendance, fundraising, and operational reports.
• Prepare monthly financial package schedules and supporting workbooks; compare actuals to budget and prior periods; ensure accuracy.
• Reconcile source systems and GL information; document and research discrepancies; escalate unresolved issues.
• Provide data for Board materials, budgets, forecasts, grants, and audits; enable leadership to interpret trends and make recommendations.
