Job summary

UrbanSoft SA seeks an experienced Data Replication Engineer to design, configure, maintain, and optimize replication pipelines across DB2, Oracle, SQL Server and cloud platforms using Stelo/StarQuest SQDR & SQDR Plus.

You will install and manage SQDR environments, implement CDC, design replication topologies, tune performance, and work with DBAs and infra teams on DR, security, and schema changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience in data replication or integration engineering roles.
• Certification in relevant database technologies or data integration tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage SQDR and SQDR Plus environments.
• Implement and monitor CDC using native log APIs or ODBC.
• Design replication topologies: 1:1, hub-and-spoke, or fan-out.
• Configure and maintain replication jobs, agents, services, and web consoles.
• Ensure replication resilience with failover and load balancing.
• Troubleshoot replication errors and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with DBAs and infra teams on DR, security, and schema changes.
• Document replication architecture and recovery procedures.
• Participate in disaster recovery and HA validation testing.
