Job summary

IPolarity LLC is seeking a DB2 Replication Engineer to design, install, and support IBM IIDR/CDC replication across DB2 z/OS and distributed environments. You will configure capture, apply, and control processes and troubleshoot issues to ensure real-time synchronization.

The role emphasizes performance tuning, disaster recovery testing, and integration with MQ/ETL platforms. Knowledge of Q Replication is preferred; located in NJ/Plano/US locations with potential travel.

Qualifications

DB2 for z/OS expertise.
IIDR/CDC real-time replication experience.
Q Replication knowledge (preferred).
ZDIH familiarity.
UNIX administration and scripting.
RACF access control.
JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF.
Replication architecture and performance tuning.
Experience with MIPS optimization initiatives.

Responsibilities

Design, install, configure, and support DB2 replication solutions across DB2 z/OS and distributed environments.
Implement and maintain IBM CDC (IIDR) and Q Replication for real-time and near-real-time data synchronization.
Configure and manage replication components including Capture, Apply, and Control processes.
Troubleshoot replication failures, data inconsistencies, latency issues, queue backlogs, and connectivity problems.
Perform performance tuning to optimize replication throughput, reduce latency, and minimize source system impact.
Support integration with DB2 LUW, MQ, ETL platforms, and distributed databases.
Provide L2/L3 production support, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery testing.
