Job summary

First American is seeking a Data Reconciliation Analyst for the ServiceMac unit in Texas, focusing on daily reconciliation, validation, and maintenance of data for regulatory reporting. You will work across MCR, NMLS, state licensing, and investor reporting with SQL and Power BI support.

The role requires 3–5 years in data reconciliation/financial reporting, strong Excel skills, and experience with AI tools to streamline reporting in a regulated financial environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of data reconciliation, regulatory reporting, financial reporting, or data analysis in banking, mortgage servicing, or financial services.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, Power Query and advanced formulas.
• Experience with Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate or other reporting/automation tools.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering and generative AI tools to streamline reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconciliations between multiple internal systems, databases, regulatory reports and source documents to ensure accuracy of regulatory reporting.
• Validate data supporting Mortgage Call Reports (MCR), NMLS reporting, state licensing reports, investor reporting and other reporting needs.
• Develop operational, reconciliation, management, and exception reports.
• Analyze data discrepancies, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with business partners.
• Interpret regulatory reporting requirements and translate them into reconciliation and validation processes.
